Cabinet making and contemporary furniture creation

 

Created in 1998, Aisthésis is a cabinet making workshop of Art and contemporary furniture creation directed by Jérôme Cordié. After specializing in shagreen, this passionate designer puts innovation at the centre of his art.

By working with rare and natural materials – mica, parchment, shagreen, mother-of-pearl, horn or gold leaf, which he associates with noble woods – Jérôme Cordié signs furniture collections with original and daring curves. The constant search for new methods of application of his favourite subjects leads the workshop to renew itself constantly.

Nourished by mythology, symbolism and history, the inspiration of the designer is materialized by contemporary furniture that reveals French know-how of excellence. Jérôme Cordié masters the materials he works with in order to create harmony and to arouse emotions.

Labelled E.P.V. (Living Heritage Company), Aisthésis manufactures furniture for demanding individuals and collaborates with great names in decoration such as Jacques Garcia, Peter Marino and David Collins. The workshop also works with major French luxury houses, as well as institutions such as national museums.
